Our Roots

Founded in 2010, Field of Dreams Farm is a cooperative made up of local producers
committed to growing the best local produce. Farmer Greg and his farm partners use an all natural growing method for all plants and local fertilizers to grow the healthiest vegetables.
Farmer Greg is on a mission to bring fresh, locally grown food to the community while developing programs, which provide kids with the skills that are essential for building a foundation to grow and live a healthy life.

Meet

Farmer Greg

Farmer Greg Riggs was taught at a very young age about the benefits of growing your own food. In 2010 Farmer Greg founded Field of Dreams Farm to provide the community with the freshest naturally grown produce and skill based learning programs. Farmer Greg is the 2011 First Lady FLITE Award Recipient and has worked with over 40 schools and 15,000 kids to spread the message of Creating Food for the Future. Starting in 2016 Farmer Greg rebranded to Sprout About Mobile Market (S.A.M.M) and put both feet forward into bringing fresh produce and a truck full of health and wellness to some of the best local hospitals of Richmond, Virginia.

In addition to SAMM and partnering with local schools, Farmer Greg works with local businesses and hospitals to implement wellness programs and gardens to grow their own food. This skill- based learning is essential for Creating Food for the Future.
