Pasture Raised Black Angus in Highland County Virginia. Please visit John and John Michaels website to see these beautiful animals. They look more like lean deer than any cows around here. Grazing in pastures means they are eating what they need and moved to another pasture based on age. These cows put on almost 4 lbs (3.85) per day because they are eating what they need. Grass fed cows is not the same as pasture raised. This is especially true in Highland county VA. Elevations from 1.500 to 2,500 feet make for a more dense pasture. Give these filets a try, everyone who eats them will be most impressed.
